Hang the paper lanterns

I'm going to a Chinese New Year party tonight and I can't wait. Is today even Chinese New Year? My friend Kata is having a little Girls Night at her place and is cooking all kinds of vegetarian yummies just for me. We're going to sit around and binge on vegan egg rolls, Salt and Pepper Tofu (Kata never would have thought about tofu if the recipe hadn't been in this month's Rachel Ray) and lots of other scrumptious nibblets. Kata is a great cook and has recently started doing some catering. After dinner they're going to binge on season two of some cop show...CSI, CI, CIU2. Are those even names of shows? CIU is a work term, so I'm pretty sure that one is wrong. Can you imagine?

CIU: Central Imaging Unit.
Where mail is opened and documents are scanned.
On tonight's episode:
What the fuck happened to Jane Doe's pay stubs?!?!?

Whatever,it's the one the Vincent D'Onofrio is on. I plan to fall asleep on the couch all fat and happy.

Nothing else to report really. The new job is going well. Very busy and sort of emotionally draining (all of the clients I see now are in crisis) but so much better than where I was. Jboy and Macaroni are good. J is bugging me to let him on the Internet (he just might get a laptop for his birthday after all) and M is with his dad this weekend, hopefully skiing now that it's finally cold.

I'm going to see Rubeydoobey this morning. Hopefully the two of us will get a little nap in before my party tonight!

Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu! (I think that's Happy New Year in Japanese...I need Uriel to help me spell in Chinese.)
