25 Random Things

So lazy that I'm copying this from my Facebook page and calling it a blog entry. Thanks for the idea Lisa!


1. I've never cleaned my oven because I've been waiting for it to die since I bought my house 10 years ago.

2. I can still talk my 10 year old into cuddling on the couch and doing goofy things like singing the entire Dr. Horrible soundtrack or reciting every Strong Bad email with me.

3. My 18 year old thinks it's ridiculous that I'm on Facebook. I don't know how to use it but would never admit that to him. Look Jboy, I'm writing my very first Facebook note. Suck that!

4. I don't have 25 people to send this to so I'm just returning it. Heather, you sent me this, right?

5. I've been vegetarian for 18 years next month and I'm still fat.

6. I'm a comic book geek and already have tickets for this year's Comic Con in San Diego.

7. I procrastinate in ways the lazy can only dream of. My living room has been half painted for weeks. I've had a hole in my sunroom ceiling for years. The new TV I bought about a month ago is still wrapped in plastic, sitting on the floor in my living room and if they delay the switch to DTV it could be there for a while.

8. I LOVE to travel (5 trips to 9 cities in 3 countries in the past 12 months) and just wish someone would just pay me to do it professionally.

9. I have seven tattoos and plans for at least another five.

10. I'd love to write a book or open my own business. I just don't want to do all the work involved.

11. I've been a couple of classes away from my bachelor's degree for over a decade and have no plans to graduate any time soon.

12. I really need a pedicure.

13. I'm lucky to get four hours of sleep a night.

14. I've never been in love.

15. I haven't driven a car in almost 10 years.

16. I love not having a car, except when it's 30 below zero and I'm walking to the train.

17. I would love to live off the grid somewhere in a South American jungle or on an island off the coast of Scotland.

18. I want to go to Thailand and build houses with Habitat for Humanity.

19. I both love and hate my job, every single day.

20. Advocate's Close might be my favorite place on the planet.

21. I try to be open minded but I'm also extremely opinionated & stubborn.

22. I watch A LOT of movies. Drama, comedy, action, whatever. Love foreign films & weird indie flicks.

23. I'm probably the luckiest single mom ever (this time around anyway) because kiddo's got an awesome dad. Perfect balance of Macaroni Time and Me Time.

24. I've got 11 siblings (seven brothers and four sisters) but only know four of them.

25. I've got a lot of shitty music on my iPod because I'm too lazy to remove it.
