Joss Whedon. Normally, we'd shower him with praise for his latest TV show or film, but this year Whedon tried something a little different: He created a comic based on a TV show and a film. Buffy Season Eight exceeded expectations, and it has brought many more folks, particularly women, into comic-book shops. Next year we get the best of both worlds, when Joss returns to TV for a series with Eliza Dushku.
