Salty goodness

I'm munching on Wheat Thins because I didn't get a lunch today. My face and keyboard are covered in salt and my hands are going to be uber dry from all the hand sanitizer I'm using. Bad thing about eating at your desk. That and the crazy insane I become from sitting here all day.

I'm wearing my new slipper socks today...inspired by Baby K's teddy slippers. I wish they made those in my size!

You can almost see the little hole in the left one, Macaroni wore them last night. Cue to violins - "I never get anything nice just for me." Which totally isn't true, but I just got them two days ago. Oh well, they're probably on clearance now so I could go buy myself another pair and give these to Macaroni. Wish they came in black. They'll be a little more punk rock and a little less Halloweeny in a couple of months too.

Not a lot else going on. Jboy was asked to take part in a Quiz Bowl tonight in Minnetonka. I think he was a little nervous since it's so last minute, but if there's anything that kid can do it's play Jeopardy. I just wish I could go with and watch. (Mr. Nutter is the staff person in charge. Mr. Nutter - who used to play baseball with my brothers! I can't believe he's old enough to be a teacher. Time flies.) So now we have Anime club, Math Team and possibly a Quiz Bowl Team. Who would've guessed.

Netflix review: Bend It Like Beckham Again, so late in seeing this. It came out in 2002. All about girls playing football. Fooooootball, aka soccer. I love British movies and this one threw in a little Bollywood too as the main character is Indian. Very cute movie, the wedding stuff is beautiful with all the vibrant colors. Macaroni liked the soccer bits and Jboy even turned around from the computer a few times to watch. I wouldn't run out and buy it, but I wouldn't change the channel if it came on either. Favorite quote: "Why doesn't that spicy girl do something about his hair?"

The best part: a DVD extra has an Indian cooking lesson from director Gurinder Chadha. She's adorable and her mom and aunt are like little elderly back seat cooks commenting on her style. Very funny!

Hi Auntie Sunshine! Waaah, the picture didn't post! Mommy loooovves pictures! That's okay, your posts always make her laugh out loud even without pictures! :) I'm sure Macaroni was a super cool Pirate - we can't wait to see pictures of him!

Oh, and my Mommy's got you beat with eating Halloween candy. I count 11 wrappers (I'm not joking) of stuff she ate JUST while she was typing my 15 month post. That doesn't include all the crap she ate throughout the day. Moooo!!!

I love you!

Oh, and is Mr. Nutter the little boy who goes to our church? Dang.

I hope JBoy did great at the Quiz Bowl!
